th Annual Collarnary Cook Off!

The Collarnary Cook Off is a wonderful community event that benefits John Paul the Great Academy in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The proceeds of the Cook Off supports John Paul the Great Academy’s scholarship program, the St. Joseph Scholarship Fund. The fund is an in-house financial aid program offered to families who need assistance in paying tuition and/or fees at JPG. The amount of money available for this scholarship is raised through donations to the school and to the program.

In the 2022-2023 school year, 14% of the total student population was supported by the St. Joseph Scholarship Fund.

Every donation makes a difference. Your gift, large or small, helps keep John Paul the Great Academy accessible to as many families as possible. Thank you so much for your support!

Acadiana area Catholic priests will show off their culinary expertise and prepare their own authentic Cajun Gumbo for you to taste and vote! You get to decide who is the best cook as they go "Collar to Collar" in a fun competition like no other! With live music, cajun food, and talented priests, this is a one-of-a-kind event you do not want to miss!

Bring your appetite!

You will be able to taste and vote for the best gumbo in this culinary competition to select the "Peoples Choice Award". Votes cost 1 dollar and support the mission of John Paul The Great Academy.
